At Redwood, we produce delicious vegan and vegetarian alternatives to meat, fish and dairy. All our foods are sustainably produced from ethically sourced, natural plant-based ingredients and free from GMOs. We’re passionate about people, animals and the environment. It’s at the heart of everything we do.
Locally-sourced wherever possible
Wherever possible, we source all our ingredients locally in the UK. We don’t like air-freighting ingredients into the country. So by buying closer to home, we can reduce our carbon footprint and the number of food miles clocked up. It’s better for the environment and helps reduce greenhouse emissions and climate change.
No fishing
We believe that even so-called "sustainable" fishing is unsustainable. So, we have come up with a way to enjoy the texture and taste of fish, with all of the benefits, and without recourse to fishing. It’s one way in which we can help stop the decline in global fish stocks.
Beans means... Soya?!
Did you know that soya beans - and foods made from them - are a great substitute for animal products? Unlike some other beans, soya offers a ‘complete’ protein profile, just like meat. That means it contains all the fatty essential amino acids needed for growth. Foods made from soya are also cholesterol free.
